When all you have is a hammer, every problem looks like a nail. And when you have a vacuum-former, every problem looks like a sheet of thermoplastic, waiting to be pulled in the right direction.
This really started way back when I saw a badly made costume seashell bra in a costume shop. I decided I needed to do it right. Four vacuum-forming machines and 10,000 pulls later, I think we've got at least that part nailed down (curious? visit PropBadger.com to learn more).
But once you've got the tools and the technique, you start looking for other things to make. After a fateful visit to the Lane Motor Museum and a follow-up trip to the Barber Museum of Motorsports, I was hooked on two-wheel fairing design. I've watched E-bikes drift towards naked moped design, and thought to myself "this could go a different way, these could be more beautiful".
I wanted to keep it fairly democratized, and attacked the problem the way I know how; with the heats and with the sheets. You might think it is a little mad to try to influence e-bike design by yourself, but like it says in the name, we're Howling Mad over here...
